“We can improve our relationships with others by leaps and bounds if we become encouragers instead of critics.”
— Joyce Meyer
Your life is the sum of your relationships and connections with others. It might not be very easy having a happy and positive relationship with everyone in your life at times, and evidently, you might start seeing that some of your relationships to move in the wrong direction.
Any time you want to improve any kind of relationship, regardless of what relationship it is; whether it is a friend, a child, a spouse, a parent, or a co-worker, whatever that might be, when you are looking to improve any relationship, what you should focus on, would be anything that you like about that relationship. Ask yourself; what attracted you to that person in the first place, why did you fall in love with them in the first place, what are some things they do that you love? As you do that, you start to tune into that positive frequency and as a result; the law of attraction kicks in and starts to bring more and more of positive thoughts about that person, and it becomes easier to sustain the thoughts on what you like about them.
But this could work both in a positive and negative way. You can easily do the same, pick someone apart and focus on what you don’t like about that person, and all of a sudden you have ten things that bother you about them. Fortunately, though, it works the same way in a positive direction. Just try and find some things that are working well between you and that person. Even if a thousand things are not working well, find one thing that is. Basically, as you do that, you start to tune into that positive mindset.
Bear in mind that everything in your reality has two choices; it can either come up to meet you vibrationally or it can bounce out. This does not mean that the person bounces out, but it means that often times, a behavior, an argument or an unwanted experience bounces out because it is not a match to you vibrationally anymore.
That is when you really begin to take control of your experience. Because you never have the ability to alter someone else’s free will, regardless of what relationship that is or who they are, even if it is an infant, you cannot make them do anything, but you can alter your perspective, you can choose what you are going to focus on, and make yourself feel better at that moment. As a result, different arguments or conversations that were bothersome or annoying to you emanate from you. Though the conversation is not in resonance anymore with you, it does not mean that they are not going to have it anyway. They might still have that argument, but with someone else instead of with you, as it is not a vibrational match to you anymore.
Focus on the wanted part of the relationship, what you love, what is working and allow that to expand. Then essentially the things that are not working start to dissipate, because you are giving all your energy towards what you do want, what is working well, and what you do have. The more you change the image of that person in your mind, the more you will notice the improvement of the relationship.
