How would you like to be remembered?

We can get so caught up in our daily hustle and craziness of today, that we forget to take the time to pause and figure out if what we are hustling on is taking us to where we want to go. If you would be able to travel into the future, into any moment you choose; 5 years from now, 10 years from now, or even 20 years from now, and imagine seeing yourself in that future, what would you want to be remembered for?

  • What kind of parent would you want to be?
  • What kind of leader would you want to be?
  • What would you want to be known for at your job?  In your community?  At home?
  • What effect would you want to have had on others?
  • Would you want to be known for someone who fights their way towards their dreams and doesn’t give up?

Please think about these questions in length, and come up with some answers that are in line with your character, personality, goals, and what you want to be known for. After doing that, you can go ahead and move to the level where you start thinking about how to get there.

There might be a number of paths that you could choose from, for you to take in order to become the best version of yourself. But no matter which path you choose and which reputation you want for yourself, the road that will take you there starts by living your life with intention.

Take responsibility for yourself and your life. Be ready for occasional disappointments, but do not let them discourage you. Slowing down a little is okay, but stopping altogether is not acceptable. Just adjust your expectations and go from there. Make sure you appreciate how unique a person you are. You are one of a kind, there is no one else like you. You do not need to conform to how others do things if that is not a good fit for you. You are the center of your life and the more you are your true You, the more you are able to walk your own path.

Be creative and purposeful, believe in yourself and do not leave it to tomorrow. Start today, by knowing where you want to be headed and plan that future… TODAY.
