Even a disaster could have a silver lining

“Always walk through life as if you have something new to learn and you will.”

Vernon Howard

The other day, on the radio, I’ve heard a grocery store manager say that the most selling products in their store since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis were baking goods. Why? Because people who would never have time to bake, now had time to do it. They had the chance to have unusual and new experiences with their kids or their spouse. Isn’t that lovely? Being able to enjoy quiet time, without rushing to go anywhere or do anything? Instead, indulging yourself with activities that create happy memories?

When I hear something like this, I find myself thinking that in every disaster there are also blessings. In every crisis there is hope. People wake up to what’s important. They see their real priorities in life. Slowly but surely our society IS evolving and awakening.

Give yourself the permission to rest, recharge and relax

You have to understand that the trauma was there to teach you a lesson. Learn that lesson, then thank and forgive the cause. In this case, COVID-19. Once you hold onto forgiveness instead of resentment, you clear your energy and feel lighter, happier, and more loving. But to do that, you need to quiet your mind with the help of lots of sleep, relaxation and meditation. Raise your vibration. Only then you can connect with your infinite wisdom.

Your well-being is a result of the information you feed yourself. And, if you are watching the – mostly fake – news, getting caught up in other people’s drama, you are not helping. Additionally, if you are looking at situations in your life and feeling negative emotions, you are not helping. Since energy flows where attention goes, you’re actually sending more energy to the problem rather than to the solution.

Remember; the only difference between a disaster and an adventure is your attitude. The ones who keep a positive attitude will always be many steps ahead of the ones with a negative outlook. Accordingly, they will come out of the crisis with stronger energy and resolve. And I know in my heart that if you are reading (or listening to) this, you are one of them.
